ANTI-BULLYING AND ANTI-HARRASSMENT

Keller ISD believes a safe and civil educational environment is essential for students to learn and attain high academic standards and to promote healthy human relationships.
The District believes bullying, discrimination, intimidation, violence, and other similar behaviors are detrimental to the establishment of a safe and civil learning environment.

PARENT DRUG AWARNESS

The Department of Counseling and Guidance has collaborated with the Athletics and Fine Arts Departments to create an online drug and alcohol prevention program.
The online program provides insight into national, state and local substance abuse trends, as well as important information regarding warning signals and availability of some of the most commonly used drugs. The programming will be available to all KISD parents, but will be mandatory for parents of all students involved in the district’s athletic and extra-curricular fine arts programs.

YMCA

Community-focused nonprofit established in 1844 with recreational programs & services for all ages.  Since 1991 the Frisco Family YMCA has changed the lives of youth and families here in Frisco and surrounding communities, benefiting more than 11,000 people annually. Throughout our community the Frisco Family YMCA gives youth a safe, supportive environment in values-based programs. Your support will continue the Y’s tradition to improve lives and expand services to even more youth and families.

BILINGUAL/ESL

The purpose of the Bilingual Education Program and English as a Second Language (ESL) Program in Keller ISD is to enable limited English proficient students to develop fluency in oral language, reading comprehension and writing skills in the English language. The programs focus on the development of literacy and academic skills in the primary language and English through the use of second language learning methods.

WORK THE PLAN

Should an emergency situation arise within the Keller ISD while school is in session, the District will activate its "Work the Plan" operation, and your cooperation is essential to its success.
It is important that you know that the District and its individual campuses have made preparations to deal with these incidents.

CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT (CTE)

The Keller ISD Career and Technical Education Department is dedicated to sparking students' imaginations through the integration and application of rigorous program standards and innovative experiences. Through networking and community partnerships, our graduates will be prepared for the demands of a global society.
